The Green Exquisiteness of BLUEHILL Fragrances

BlUEHILL Fragrances are masterfully crafted in New England by perfumer Sandy Carr, with a genuine devotion to quality, which is why her trio of small-batch perfumes will likely be your favorites. They’re sophisticated enough for life’s bigger moments, yet delicate enough for work environments, too.

BACK BAY
This fragrance evokes the heady fresh greenery of Spring, and is a welcoming perfume of flourishing gardens ripe with rose, iris, magnolia, hyacinth, geranium and muguet, with the tantalizing green freshness of grass and leaves. An opening burst of bright bergamot envelops the heady floral tapestry, setting the stage for a luminous heart of sweet basil, galbanum and a nuance of ocean air, while ambergris and rare earth are grounding to an addictive base of sandalwood, cedar and crystallized amber. An eternally green and youthful scent, this is an all-purpose fragrance that can be worn day or night.

BEACH ROSE
This imperious, lovely fragrance can instantly fast-forward (or re-wind!) you to summer, to a sunny place where wild roses blossom near the beach. Infused with salt spray, swaying sea grass, lyrically shifting dunes and foamy shores, this is a bright scent that opens with sparkling bergamot, tangy grapefruit, and intoxicating orange blossom – then leads to a heart of lush red rose, newly mown hay, tart tomato leaf, and ethereal ozonic accord. At the dry down, ambergris, beeswax, and creamy sandalwood meld beautifully to a field of Peru balsam, golden honey and crisp ocean breezes. Ah, Summer!

METROGARDEN
Perfect for New Yorkers, this is a bottled garden-of-dreams, lush with vibrant top notes of lemon petitgrain and gilded bergamot introduce the lovely heart of moody iris, vintage violet, heady rose, and velvet narcissus, while precious sandalwood, Peru balsam, smoky vetiver and crystalline musk provide a warm, sensual finish. Ideal for every season and every place, it’s simply lovely.

BLUEHILL founder Sandy Carr followed her nose to the celebrated Grasse Institute of Perfumery, where she studied both synthetic and natural ingredients, learning the families of scent and how to re-create the formulas for classic French accords. Completely enthralled with the art of perfumery, she set about building her own collection of raw materials that would evoke her love for the natural beauty of Boston and greater New England, since she spent many happy hours on the trails of the Blue Hill Reservation.
