Runway makeup trends aren’t always easy to translate in real life. But sometimes the trends can be easily achieved and interpreted. I’ve pulled my favorite beauty trends from the Fall 2015 season and found the best products to help you achieve these looks. Thank me later!
Big Lashes: Sometimes, I feel like I have to work too hard to achieve my desired lash volume. Laura Geller’s DramaLASH Maximum Volumizing Mascara is an insanely lush, lash-maximizing formula with a rich, luscious texture. This creamy, buildable formula practically creates a false lash look. This “must have” mascara is for anyone who desires the fullness and drama of false lashes without the hassle.
Blush: Blush depends on the quality of the product and the brush with which you apply it. NARS has an incredible selection of blushes for you to choose from, including their most famous, Orgasm shade but if one is not enough, check out their recently launched Pro Palette. You can customize your own blush palette with an assortment of shades. Think about what makes you blush. Well, NARS’ products will replicate that natural flush.
Full Brows: Full brows have been in style for several seasons. It’s easier than ever to correct, shape, and define your brows. Smashbox has many new amazing options for brow products including their Brow Tech On The Go, which allows you to get the polished brows you covet. Its double-ended component includes an angled, waterproof pencil for precise filling and defining and a soft hold gel with a brow brush applicator to groom brows perfectly into place. The Brow Tech Matte Pencil is a “must have” pencil for anyone looking to mimic hairs and fill in sparseness. Using soft, feathery strokes, define your natural arch, starting at the base of the hairline. Fill in sparse areas and use the spoolie brush to distribute color evenly.
Here’s a bonus tip from Umbreen Sheikh, founder and CEO of Wink Brow Bar. “Threading is a great option for those who do not naturally have full brows! It stimulates hair growth within the brow in a natural, organic and chemical-free way by exfoliating the skin and allowing hair follicles to grow healthily.” Who knew?
Eye Bling: This season, there was a lot of glitter and bling on the runways. Check out Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner and their awesome video on how to achieve the perfect glitter look in a fairly easy way.
Flawless Skin: Perfect skin is often the first feature to be noticed; but it’s not perfect; it’s enhanced! Clinique’s Beyond Perfecting Powder Foundation + Concealer is a powder foundation and concealer in one that offers a natural look that lasts all day. Weightless powder makeup covers thoroughly without clogging pores, so your skin breathes comfortably. And the color stays true. The oil-free formula is perfect if you have shine issues. I love using a large powder brush to apply all over and then build the product where needed. If you need to conceal dark spots under the eyes, do that first and then apply the powder foundation. It’s an easy application and a huge payoff.
