This season there’s something for everyone – smoked-up eyes, matte lips, and a bit of well-placed shimmer. We picked some of the most exciting color palletes for autumn from six top lines to give you some great options to keep you busy all fall long.
Stila’s Style Fits All Collection for Fall has all kinds of fun limited edition eye and cheek palettes as well as metallic lipsticks. We used the Fall Eye and Cheek Palette in Perfectly Sage and Fall Lip Color in Darcy on Ashley. http://www.stilacosmetics.com/category/makeup/fall+collection.do.
MAC always has a slew of new colors every season and these are really soft and useable. The Inventive Eye Quad was used on Anna’s eyes (specifically White Wheat and Inventive), along with Dolly Mix Sheertone Shimmer Blush, and Pro Longwear Luster Lip Colour in Fully Charged with lots of Mirror Gloss on top. http://www.maccosmetics.com.
Sometimes a neutral lip is all you need to make a statement, and Estee Lauder has one for every skin tone this autumn. For Geena’s warm caramel skin, the Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Malt Truffle and Pure Color Gloss in Pink Zinc were a perfect fit. http://www.esteelauder.com.
World renowned makeup artist Gucci Westman created Lancome’s latest color palette, Rose Mystere, giving you plenty of opportunity to play up the drama in your life. The Velvet Diary Shadow Palette for Eyes in Vanite created a shimmery smoke effect for Ashley while the latest Juicy Tube in Exquisite gave her soft lips. http://www.lancome-usa.com.
For neutrals you can always count on Bobbi Brown and this season is no different. Matte lips take the focus. For Anna, we picked the Matte Stain in Clay and pulled from the limited edition Clay Collection, the Pink Clay Blush and Cream and Desert Eye Shadows. We finished off with a sweep of the Apricot Shimmer Brick Compact across the eyes and for the highlight on the cheeks. http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com.
For those who aren’t afraid of color, go and seek out Dior’s new additions that give natural and vibrant looks an equal shot. The Logo Palette for Eyes (primarily the peach, aubergine, and black shades) gave us a subtle but noticeable lid for Geena and the Dior Addict Plastic Gloss in Fantastic Fuschia gave her mouth rich shiny color. http://www.sephora.com.
For all of our models we used Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation, available at Saks Fifth Avenue, Makeup Forever’s Super Matte Loose Powders, http://www.makeupforever.com, and Shu Uemura’s new Fiber Xtension Mascara in Black, www.shuuemura-usa.com.
