Singer and new generation style icon-in-the-making Halsey has launched af94, the kid sister of her About-Face beauty brand. af94 —which is Halsey’s initials, as their real name is Ashley Frangipane, and their birth year, which is 1994 — was created to inspire discovery among makeup users and was “made to play.” Translation: The entire brand is vegan, cruelty-free, and incredibly affordable. The 12 products that were made available at launch encourage self-expression and a “no rules” makeup philosophy no matter your age. So, basically, it’s awesome. The products are high quality, as well. I love the ultra creamy Majorly Matte lippies and the multi-use Playdate cheek and lip tints, but it’s the Shadowboxer Eye Crayons that have carved a space in my heart. The color payoff is top notch, the formula is velvety, and the color applies easily from the twist-up stick to your lid. You can smudge with your fingers or a brush.
