Pamella Roland with the Brides

When fashion designer Pamella Roland recently showed her first wedding gown collection for the 2015 season, not only was every dress perfect, but the makeup and hair were also flawless. Called in to do the hair was the incredible Ted Gibson and for makeup, the ultra talented Alexi Comforti for Laura Mercier. It was a marriage of three talents that created beautiful ethereal looks that were simply heavenly.

Want to create these makeup looks for yourself? They’re perfect if you’re getting married or simply want to look gorgeous and glowing any time. At the showing I interviewed Alexi Comforti and got some insight on her inspiration as well as some great how–to tips for you.

BNNYC: What was your inspiration for this collection?
AC: I was inspired by Audrey Hepburn and her fresh, dewy, glowing look, which is so classic and timeless. A woman should look back on her wedding photos in 15 years and love how she looks.

BNNYC: How does a woman achieve this?
AC: Look like yourself, but a bit brighter and more polished. Only use foundation where you need it and finish with a clear translucent powder for a soft focus.

BNNYC: What about false eyelashes?
AC: Only a few on the outer lashes if you feel you need them.

BNNYC: And lips….they’ll be kissing lots of friends and relatives.
AC: Use a pencil lip liner that matches your lipstick for a natural look as well as staying power. Then, dot on some lip gloss in the center of the lips.

BNNYC: Can I get the exact Laura Mercier products and colors please?
AC: Of course…..

Flawless Face: Radiant, Glowing and Fresh
Prep the skin with Laura Mercier Moisture Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 15, ($53). Mix Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Radiance, ($33) and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Hydrating, ($33) together to create an even canvas to apply foundation. Then use Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation, ($47) and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, ($34) as needed to even out the skin tone. Lastly, apply Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Rosebud, ($25) on the apples of the cheeks and then fade out the cheekbones with Crème Cheek Colour in Oleander, ($25).

Eyes: Soft and Muted
Cover the entire eye area with Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat, ($26) and layer Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Guava, ($24) over top. Then, lightly apply Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Fresco, ($24) in the crease and up to the brow. Next, apply Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Mahogany Brown, ($24), using Laura Mercier’s signature “tightline” method to press the color underneath the root of the upper lash line and on the top of the lash line. Focus the liner at the center of the eye towards the outer corner. For the lower lash liner apply the same Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner, ($24) at the center of the eye towards the outer corner. To finish the look and define the eye, use Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Suprême Lash Building Mascara, ($25). To flawlessly frame the face, fill in eyebrows with Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil, ($22), which will result in a heavy, defined brow.

Lips: Full, Customized Color
Models were paired with one of four flower vignettes for the presentation. Comforti created four different lip shades – each one complementing the color scheme in the models’ respective flower vignette. To do so, she applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour, ($27) (see below for specific shade) and layered Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Cosmic, ($25) on the center of lips to reflect the light. Green Florals: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Brigitte, ($27) Yellow Florals: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Mango, ($27) Hot Pink Florals: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Dusk, ($27) White Roses: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Blush, ($27)
