Symphony Beauty: Clara’s New York Has Luxury, Botanical Skincare

Symphony Beauty is a veteran-owned business with a mission to make safe, effective skincare. The brand offers an array of K-Beauty products with locally sourced ingredients. I recently tried Symphony Beauty’s Purifect collection, and loved the budget-friendly range of products offered. Like Purifect, Clara’s New York is a cruelty-free, sustainable skincare brand made with plant-based ingredients. Founder and CEO James Jo launched the brand in 2018, and named it after his eldest daughter.

Clara’s New York is Purifect’s sophisticated older sister. Both skincare collections use plant-based ingredients to create a wide range of products for consumers to choose. Clara’s New York uses minimal ingredients to create luxury skincare products. The products are devoid of harmful substances like sulfates, parabens, phthalates, toluene, sodium lauryl sulfate, silicones, and polyethylene glycol. The company uses clinical research to formulate its products. Aside from product innovation and efficacy, Clara’s New York donates to causes that support veterans.

I recently tried the Advanced Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid 100 Serum from Clara’s New York. This serum is suitable for all skin types and provides lasting hydration. With key ingredients like hyaluronic acid, adaptogens, and vitamin E, this serum helps to trap water to hydrate dry skin. All of Symphony Beauty’s serums are a tactile treat, with their jelly-like consistency, and this hyaluronic serum followed suit. It performs double duty by hydrating and protecting the skin from environmental stress. This non-comedogenic serum is a safe for dry, sensitive skin.

I paired the Advanced Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid 100 Serum with the Intense Hydration Moisture Enhancing Cream – Hyaluronic Acid. Only a dime-size amount is needed for a rush of moisture. Since hyaluronic acid binds to water, this cream combines with the serum to bring about lasting hydration benefits. When I used the rich cream, it delivered moisture without clogging my pores. Its blend of hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, strawberry fruit extract, and rosa centifolia flower extract help to plump skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

If you love the scent of freshly cut roses. Clara’s New York has a Moisturizing Rosehip Oil Serum that will transport you to a summer garden in the countryside. The sweet rose fragrance doubles as a floral perfume and a hydration booster. I used two drops of the rosehip serum after cleansing. The mix of fatty acids and vitamin E gently exfoliated dead skin cells while leaving me with a bright complexion. Take this serum with you while traveling to take advantage of its moisturizing and exfoliating benefits.

If you’re a fan of retinol, Clara’s New York has something for you. The collection has a Stimulating Retinol Serum that targets fine lines. This serum encourages collagen production to combat environmental stressors that irritate and damage skin. Besides retinol, this serum has adaptogens, arginine, and vitamin E. These key ingredients give skin the antioxidants it needs to heal and regenerate. Since retinol is sensitive to light, I followed the advice on Symphony Beauty’s website to use it at night. One drop of the retinol serum was enough to hydrate my sensitive skin, so a small amount of product goes a long way.

Clara’s New York has a Deep Softening Vitamin E Booster Cream that can partner with the brand’s serums. This cream is the nutritional supplement your skin needs to stay healthy and vibrant. The ingredients are gentle on sensitive skin. The cream gave my skin a supple feeling of revitalization. This is a cream that’s great to have during the winter months, because it offers a healthy dose of hydration and antioxidants.
