Spring Makeup Inspiration: Colors You Don’t Want to Miss

For many, spring is all about awakenings, rebirth, bright colors, and pleasant weather. For me, it’s an ideal time to incorporate new makeup products into my kit that will reflect and enhance my mood. Usually, it’s a little color here, some gloss there, a flush to the cheeks, and flawless skin. Here’s how to liven up your makeup for the new spring season in a few easy steps.

NARS Velvet Shadow Stick in Usbek: Cream shadow sticks are a favorite of mine — they are versatile, easy to use, don’t require tools, and come with amazing color payoff. NARS Velvet Shadow Stick in Usbek is a gorgeous, spring-ready, pretty purple shade. You can pair it with a powder shadow, using it as a base. Or do what I do and wear it on its own.

Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palette in Bold: Colorful makeup was all over the Spring 2017 runways. Smashbox’s Cover Shot Eye Palette in will allow you to copy the trend. You can craft a colorful smoky eye or blend these shadows into black eyeliner for subtle pop of color that won’t be too shocking. The colors are bold, bright, and adventurous. Embrace color with this palette! You won’t regret it.

By Terry Glow Expert Duo Stick: This little gem is my new best friend, since it’s a blush, bronzer, and highlighter in one. This 3-in-1 hybrid stick is inspired by the latest contouring and strobing techniques and comes with an integrated blending brush. It really does it all. So add it to your makeup bag, stat!

NARS Lip Gloss Aragon: I came across this gorgeous new red-chestnut color from NARS and knew it would find a place in my heart. NARS glosses comes in stunning shades and offer comfortable wear. But if there is one shade you need, it’s this one. It’s not too red but not too brown, either. It also allows you to hold onto the richer, deeper shades of the fall and winter months.

L’OREAL Infallible Paints Blush: This is an unbelievable blush palette with a terrific price. If it’s a pop of cheek color you are looking for this spring, you’ll get it with this palette. Pretty, floral-inspired flushes of color are in your future if you use this blush set.

Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge: If you want to wrap your lips in rich, satiny color, you have 44 elegant shades, from nudes to plums to bright reds, that come in three finishes with this can’t miss collection.
