The Brian Jonestown Massacre Scheduled To Rock Audiences At Brooklyn Steel 9/20

Psychedelic rock band, The Brian Jonestown Massacre is set to play to audiences at Brooklyn Steel this Wednesday, September 20th. The renowned American musical band is including NYC as a stop on their 36-show tour across the states and Mexico. The Brian Jonestown Massacre released their 20th studio album, The Future Is Your Past, this past February, blowing away listeners including those under the critical ears of Far Out Mag.

“The band played with an intense fervor that suggested they were completely in their element on the stage, creating a lucid soundscape that enveloped the room.  With their incredible performance, The BJM proved why they’re such an essential staple in the alternative scene. Not only does Newcombe know how to write a good song, but in a live setting, these songs translate beautifully. Even if you only know a handful of their tracks, seeing The Brian Jonestown Massacre live is sure to be a spectacular experience. “

The Brian Jonestown Massacre has always been one to push the edges of music and the mind. Their particular transcendent and transformative flavor of Rock continues through this latest album. The Future Is Your Past takes their 60’s wavey, plucking vibes and combines them with poetically pensive lyrics. Their lead single Fudge, is amongst the thought-filled themes of the album and holds creative inspiration from band leader Anton Newcombe’s son, Wolgang.
