While New York Restaurant Month finally comes to an end this weekend, Brooklyn has picked up where Manhattan left off and will be offering their version of the weeklong dining deal appropriately titled, Dine in Brooklyn. From March 23rd to April 2nd, you can enjoy meals at some of the boroughs most popular restaurants.
Here’s how it works, participating restaurants create three-course menus for $23/person for either Lunch or Dinner. All restaurants participating in Brunch prix-fixes are offering 2 for $23 while some are offering the 2fer for lunch and dinner.
You can enjoy Italian food galore at Aurora, one of my Williamsburg favorites, or top-notch French bistro grub at Bar Tabac in Cobble Hill. On the dinner 2 for $23 list you can try some BBQ at The Smoke Joint in Fort Greene or some Asian Fusion at RICE in DUMBO. Just be sure to make a reservation, if the restaurant takes them, and do so asap as most places fill up quick.
So whether you’re a Manhattanite willing to cross over into the up-and-coming culinary borough for some affordable dining or a local who wants to explore your neighborhood, give Dine in Brooklyn a shot and you’ll surely be pleasantly surprised.
