Who says pancakes are only for breakfast? And who said you can only eat breakfast in the morning? Certainly not Clinton St. Baking Co., who announced that February is Pancake Month at the Lower East Side favorite. Looking to satisfy a late night sweet tooth? Clinton St.’s got flapjacks for those with a tropical taste, think coconut, passion fruit and bananas or those with a nostalgic feeling, imagine classic chocolate chunk.
We’re already drooling over the fresh blackberries, pecan streusel, warm maple butter and the chocolate chunks, fresh raspberries and raspberry-caramel sauce will be the only thing chocolaty and red that we’ll be seeing around Valentine’s Day.
Pancake Month’s Special Pancakes (all flavors, $15) will be served Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm and 6pm-11pm.

While I can’t stand this snow and cold weather, it really couldn’t have come at a better time. At City Bakery, the spot for hot chocolate in the city, February marks the start of the month-long City Bakery Hot Chocolate Festival. Featuring a different flavor everyday for the month of February, you’re sure to stay toasty (and hyper) with this winter treat.
Super Bowl Sunday offers up Caramel Hot Chocolate, while Valentine’s Day inspires a Love Potion chocolate concoction (I’ll take two!). Start your weekend early on Friday, February 12th with Bourbon Hot Chocolate or stick it out until the last day of February where the Festival Finale Flavor is still TBD.
