Get the Look: Creatures of the Wind’s and Nars’ Eye-Popping Liner Trick And Braided Faux-Bangs

The Autumn/Winter 2014 Creatures of the Wind show was spectacular, and if (like us) you were mesmerized by the hair and makeup on the models, we’ve got everything you need to know to make the Fashion Week looks your own.

James Boehmer, the NARS Director of Global Artistry, created the gorgeous makeup look, and it’s amazingly easy to recreate. For the eyes, Boehmer wanted to “light the eyes from within,” but off the catwalk this look might be a bit too intense. Nevertheless, Bohmer’s technique of using a bright liner to open the eyes can work for anyone, as long as it’s done in moderation – a thin line of blue will do the trick.

For the eyes:

Khao San Road Larger Than Life® Eyeliner on your bottom lash line

– a hefty dose of Larger Than Life® Lengthening Mascara on top and bottom lashes

To recreate the easy, dewy complexion:

NARS skin Luminous Moisture Cream

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

-Stick Concealer

-Loose powder

And definitely follow his advice and pair with a natural lip, like Na Pali Coast Multiple, and gloss

The hair, created by Odile Gilbert, is also notable and a look we think can work day-to-day. To achieve the look, Gilbert created a deep side part, and started braiding on the crown of the head. Angling the braid to the side, continuing it to the back of the head, and gently pulling it loose and flat, the braid was used as a faux side bang.

If you’re hair is long enough, you can recreate this style easily with a bit of Kerastase Touche Perfection for texture (this will help keep the look soft an natural) and Kerastase Laque Dentelleto to keep it in place.

Lastly, we naturally recommend you top this all off with one of the elegant Creatures of the Wind coats from the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.
