At tonight’s Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga accepts her Grammy Award with legendary crooner Tony Bennett for Best Traditional Pop Vocals for “Cheek to Cheek”. On the red carpet beforehand she greeted the cameras in a sparkling silver toned dress, custom made by designer Brandon Maxwell that was slit up to here and down to there. A Lorraine Schwartz jeweled necklace was strategically placed between Gaga’s tatas, and on her feet, the ‘it’ sandals everyone’s wearing.
You may not want to wear the outfit, but the bold smoky eye, done by Sarah Tanno is perfect for an evening out when a dramatic eye is what you want. For this look, Tanno used makeup by Shiseido and opted for cream eye shadows to give a “soft metallic shimmer”. Gaga’s glam hair was styled by Frederic Aspiras using Matrix StyleLink products.
EYES – Modern and Metallic
Tanno first applied Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye color in Tin all over the lids and accentuated the inner corners of the eyes with Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Mist.
Next, Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Caviar was smudged on the outer corners of the lids and into the lash line “to create depth.” The cream shadows were then set with the Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in Lido.
Tanno then heavily applied Shiseido Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Black all around the eyes and blended. Lady Gaga’s eyes were finished with false eyelashes and lots of Shiseido Perfect Mascara Defining Volume in Black.
FACE – A Radiant and soft peachy glow
For Lady Gaga’s bright complexion, Tanno started with Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask followed by the new Shiseido Bio-Performance Glow Revival Serum and Bio-Performance Advanced Super Restoring Cream.
Next, Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation SPF 17 was applied and “blended from the center of the face out.” Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector in Natural was applied under the eyes to brighten the skin and the base was finished with Shiseido Translucent Loose Powder.
Finally, the cheeky Lady Gaga had her cheeks slightly contoured with Shiseido Bronzer in Medium and their MAQuillAGE Dramatic Mood Veil Blush in RD100 was blended to for a “healthy peach glow”.
Hair – Super Glamorous
After the makeup, Lady Gaga’s hair was done by her stylist Frederic Aspiras, using Matrix StyleLink products.
Aspiras started with Matrix StyleLink VOLUME BUILDER MOUSSE on clean damp hair. Apply root to tip. Next add a dose of Matrix StyleLink VOLUME BOOSTER Dry away section to section starting at nape using a large round boar bristle brush.
Using Matrix StyleLink HEAT BUFFER, spray small sections of hair starting on top of head and curl hair. Use a 1 1/2 inch barrel curling iron to curl each section. Pin curl each section you curl. Remove pins after hair is cooled.
Use Matrix StyleLink GLOSS BOOSTER, add a small dose on the palm of one hand and warm up by rubbing hands together. Run product through hair starting from the bottom. Break up the curl while brushing hair using a large paddle brush.
After that, add Matrix StyleLink HEIGHT RISER to the roots of hair to add more volume and texture. Brush hair smooth creating the soft waves around the face and back. Use Matrix StyleLink TEXTURE BUILDER spray to hold the waves in place while styling.
Finally, continue to brush the hair until you achieve the soft waves that you like. Then, give your hair a good spray for those soft, movable, sexy waves. Matrix products are sold in salons. Visit http://www.Matrix.com to find a salon near you.
