It looks like we’re slowly inching our way into spring, after all Tuesday was a balmy 40 degrees! Today is Groundhog Day, and we’ll find out if the critter pokes his head out of his hole, and we’ll learn if spring will be here sooner than later.
Whether or not we’ll have an early spring, I do news for you that will definitely brighten up your day.Ouidad Salon- The Curl Experts is offering a free deep conditioning treatment, valued at $90 and up depending upon your hair, for the entire month of February when you get your curls cut at the salon.
Yup! The deep conditioning treatment will make your hair healthy, happy and look fantastic. The cold temps outside combined with the weird dry heat in many buildings can damage your hair. The deep conditioning treatment will rescue you hair from damage and make it look like curly ribbons. Based on Ouidad’s philosophy that “like your body, your hair needs food too” Ouidad’s Deep Treatment is a concentrated, deep conditioning formula that contains 21 amino acids, sulfur, wheat and soy proteins. It reconnects the molecular layer of the hair, which is where the condition and color are found. This makes the color look richer and shinier, as light reflects off the newly perfected molecular layer. Did I mention it smells divine?
Ouidad is offering a 2oz. Deep Treatment as a free gift with purchase at http://www.ouidad.com
The Ouidad Salon and Education Center is located at 37 West 57th Street, 4th floor. To make an appointment, or for more information call, (212)-888-3288. Your hair will love you for it.The Pussycat Dolls is a troupe of sexy, sassy, performers who combine old fashioned burlesque with revved up song and dance. They’ve been called, “L.A.’s hottest cabaret ticket of the year” by People magazine. The troupe based in California, has toured internationally to rave reviews. The troupe is choreographed by Robin Antin, and led by Carmen Elektra. It boasts Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Stefani and Christina Applegate among their many star guest performers.
Stila creator Jeanine Lobel met some of the Dolls while working on the set of “Charlie’s Angels 2.” She realized that the Stila Girl and the Pussycat Doll had many of the same attributes. Both are positive, sassy, and have their own style. They’re feminine, flirty, and self-confident. In a tribute to the Dolls, Stila has created a cosmetic limited edition set, the Stila Pussycat Dolls Collection.
The collection is pink based, as befitting a Doll, but the colors work with every complexion. Since I had gotten the collection ahead of the pack, I road tested it on my poor friends. No matter their skin tone, I made try them on the kit and the results were fantastic. Everyone looked great.
The kit is comprised of three eye shadows (white, black, and purple) and one pink blush. The shadows are incredibly versatile. Looking for a subtle look? The use the white shadow (it’s very sheer) from lid to brow and line your eyes with a pencil. You can combine the purple and white for a great daytime look and for some night time punch, add the black shadow. Since all the shadows are sheer, you determine how intense you want the color by how much you apply.
The blush is a sheer pink, called cozy, that gives your face a nice glow. I’m a very fair olive and it worked great on my skin tone.
Oh the glazes! I love the twisty thing on top that gives you the exact amount you need for your lips. There are two; amaretto and peppermint. Both are sheer and taste exactly like their names. They’re great on their own or over a lipstick.
There are also two lipsticks; pussycat nude and pussycat pink. As I said before they work with every skin tone. They can be used not only for your winter color wardrobe, but will work well with spring and summer colors too.

Wear red this Friday. Why? Because Friday is the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red for Women’s Day. Red is the symbol for women and heart disease. Go red for women; to take charge of their health, to bring awareness about heart diseases’ devastating toll on women’s health, to remind women to lead stronger, healthier lives. Many national monuments will be bathed in a red light and some daytime shows, like Passions and General Hospital’s cast will be wearing the American Heart Association Red Dress Pin.
If you’d like to wear the pin your self, call the American Heart Association at 1-888-MY-Heart or visit their website, http://www.americanheart.org
Surfing on the net I found this tee shirt and couldn’t stop laughing. It’s really the perfect shirt for those days when everything goes wrong.
Wear it with sleep shorts, wear it when you have to deal with the dry cleaners who yet again ruined your favorite shirt, or wear it when you have to deal with the cable guy. It also makes a great gag gift.
You can find the shirt at http://www.cafepress.com/isazoe.17310179
