Organized by Samantha Hirsch, producer of public programming at The Museum of Jewish Heritage, invites all to the “Latkepalooza”. This is an opportunity to bring the family together and celebrate Hanukkah in Battery Park, NYC. It’s open to the public, and a wonderful way to learn, teach and discover the traditions of the holiday.
Here are the details:
Latkes (fried potato pancakes) are a traditional Hanukkah food and the museum will be offering them along with many activities for everyone to celebrate the miracle of oil — the festivities represent one candle per night and lasts for eight days.
The event at the museum includes crafts (create a dreidel), live music and delicious latkes.
Hanukkah begins Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
