For Spring 2014 fashion week, YEOHLEE put on a show like I’ve never experienced. Held in the backyard Jones Wood Garden, from where her collection was inspired, the show was serene, peaceful, and surprisingly quiet. The crowd was kept minimal and YeohLee herself escorted many of the guests to their seats along the garden’s stone path. With meditative music playing as the models walked through the garden, the entire surrounding couldn’t have represented the collection any better. Ranging from structured dresses in pale pink and ivory, vibrant green jackets, and tonal grey jersey dresses and tunics, it was obvious both the color palette and fabrics were carefully selected to represent the outdoors natural allure.
Further complimenting the looks, the model’s makeup was a perfect match by remaining soft and minimal. With an effortless made-under aura, there was nothing but radiant skin, warm cheeks, and a hint of red on the lips. Lead makeup artist, Lyne Desnoyers for MAC cosmetics, described the beauty look as “stripped down to simplicity. It’s meant to look like you’re not wearing makeup. It’s balanced and blended with no contours,” she explains. This is definitely an easy look to recreate at home, as the purpose is to enhance your own natural beauty.
