Son Jung Wan Fall 2012

Son Jung Wan collection was filled with precious silks, vibrant colors, Korean prints and faux furs. Lyne Desnoyers from M.A.C. Cosmetics was the lead makeup artist. Desnoyers was determined to create a look that was sophisticated and elegant with a cool urban edge, all while complementing the bold runway looks. The main focus for the look was based around the eyes. To start off she used M.A.C. Stilife Paint as a base, then stipple dip down mixture onto the eyelids as it wrapped around the eye underneath the lash line. To finish off the eyes she used Fashion Fix Pro Long Wear eye shadow in the crease. By applying these products M.A.C achieved a soft smokey eye. The main color used was taupe as it is a tone that looks great and works great with everyone. Taupe is an easy color to go from day to night in the matter of seconds. Anyone can achieve this look at home with a little patience and a brush; just start blending away! Since the eyes were the main focus Desnoyers wanted the skin to be flawless, lightweight looking and matte. The cheeks were contoured with Harmony cream and Pearl highlighter cream. The look was finished off with a nude lip using, honey love and brave lipstick! Desnoyers’ favorite product used to create this look was the pro long wear eye shadow. She loves the creamy lightweight texture, longwearing capabilities and the huge range of colors. Even though spring is around the corner the M.A.C pro is already looking forward to fall colors! She’s expecting a lot of warm, vibrant and bold auburns this fall! Lyne Desnoyers’ advice for anyone who loves wearing makeup is to not under estimate the beauty basics. These tools help you to create your each look from everyday to a bold night out!

To finish off the look using Prive hair products, hair was pulled into a high ponytail with light hair spray. The top of the ponytail was messy, similar to rolling out of bed, and then they softly braided the rest of the ponytail. To finish off the hair they softened the top of the hairline by loosely pulling up the fly a ways. The finished look was carefree and edgy, a perfect accent to the vivid collection.
