Susan MacTavish Best is out to save the world “one dinner party at a time.” Famous for throwing parties in her San Francisco home with incredible guests (and even better food), Susan has appropriately been called “the Martha Stewart of Silicon Valley.” Now, she’s bringing her lifestyle brand, Living MacTavish, to New York City with a pop-up shop in SoHo, called Living the Lab.
The shop is set up just like Susan’s living room, complete with the actual contents of her home shipped all the way from California. At the pop-up shop, you’ll not only have the opportunity to buy the one-off items (which include art, antiques, rugs, and even taxidermy) as well her favorite housewares and fashion brands, more importantly: you’ll actually have a chance to meet Susan.
Throughout this month, Susan will be hosting a series of intimate, informal salons where she’ll serve dinner from her own recipes and facilitate interesting discussions and concerts. If you register on Facebook, you’ll be kept in the loop regarding all the goings-on and be able to attend the events yourself.
The shop just opened days ago and will only be open until December 1st, so make sure you stop by to ogle, shop, and appreciate Susan’s impeccable taste. And if you can’t make it, you can still shop directly from her living room at the online store.
