Sweet Sounds and Sweet Sips: Estelle Rocks Out with Rosa Regale

A passionate performer paired with a festive sparkling wine equals good times for all. That’s what we found at the Darby this month. Grammy winner Estelle is currently playing an intimate concert series, presented by Rosa Regale, in support of her latest album All of Me. Estelle’s 10-city tour has already hit LA, DC, Philly, and NYC. Next stops include Detroit, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Orlando.

During this special performance, Estelle belted out some classic tunes including “American Boy” and a cover of Madonna’s “Borderline,” as well as some songs that are def new faves for us: good-grooving “Wonderful Life” and the heart-wrenching “Thank You.” Celebrities in attendance included Melanie Fiona, Tika Sumpter, Janell Snowden, Raheem DeVaughn, Sessilee Lopez and music industry executives Kevin Liles and Mike Kyser.

Rosa Regale hails from Acqui Terme, Piedmont in Italy and is made from 100% of the grape variety Brachetto. It’s cranberry in color and features a bouquet marked by hints of raspberries, strawberries, and Bulgarian rose. It works well as an aperitif or a dessert wine, pairing well with seafood, cheeses, spicy foods, and chocolate. To make summer even sweeter, you can also use Rosa Regale for sumptuous sangria. Muddle: 1 Whole Strawberry & 1 Pineapple Cube
Shake w/ ice: 1 ½ oz. Sobieski Raspberry
½ oz. Simple Syrup
½ oz. Lime Juice
Add to tin: 1 ½ oz. Rosa Regale
1 oz. Soda
Swirl & Strain into 14 oz. glass over ice
Garnish: Pineapple Leaf & Skewered Pineapple & Strawberry
