If you live on the upper east side, you likely know and love the restaurant TBar Steak & Lounge, renowned for its dependably tasty fare, with a menu that encompasses vegetarian, chicken, fish and meat options to please every palate.
Kick off with a Kale Cauliflower Salad, which comes with a chili lime vinaigrette and radishes and grapes. We tried this salad, and found it to be generously portioned, healthy, and satisfying. Other salad options include the Classic Caesar, Iceberg Salad (with bleu cheese, bacon and tomato), a TBar Salad (hearts of palm, green beans, tomato and cucumber), as well as Segundo’s Meatballs and thin crust Pizzas.
Fresh Fish Apps
If you prefer fresh fish, opt for a Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, Crispy Sushi, Yellowfish Tuna Tartare, or Vietnamese Avocado Roll.
The Main Event
Entrees are extensive and include Irish Salmon (with zucchini and a honey mustard sauce), Crusted Tune, Chilean Bass, Chicken Milanese, Roasted Free Range Chicken, a Chopped Salad with chicken or salmon, Cavatelli Antonucci, and Soba Noodle Chicken Salad. We tried the Irish Salmon because it’s been soooo long since we had fish, and it was perfection. The zucchini was presented in buttery thin, linguini-like strips that offset the salmon nicely.
Burgers include a Prime Aged Angus Burger and an Amish Turkey Burger with fries or a salad. We tried the fries, which were medium-sliced and ideal with salad and salmon.
Spectacular Steak Bar
Steak option include Filet Mignon, Prime Aged Rib Eye, Aged NY Strip, and Black Angus Porterhouse. Whip out those steak knives and your appetite!
Side options are mac-and-cheese, spinach, mashed potatoes, french fries, and sauteed hericot verts with shallots.
Desserts include Buttermilk Pana Cotta with honey and strawberries or a Granny Apple Crisp with caramel sauce and raisins. TBar also has delicious home-made cookies. Try them all!
