Bad Girls at The Blonds F/W 2014

The Look:

Sky-high stilettos, machine gun nail art, voluminous blond wigs, paper brows, and plenty of jewels. It was all in the details for The Blonds F/W ’14 runway show, which was truly nothing short of spectacular. Inspired by the iconic pin-up girl, Bettie Page, and mixed with a strong dose of Catwoman, you could tell these good girls turned bad a long time ago.

Side Hair

Hair by Catwalk by Tigi involved 3 separate blond wigs, severe angular bangs and more height than Gisele Bundchen’s legs. Follow the step-by-step below to recreate the look!

Group Hair

Beginning with clean, bone-straight hair, liberally apply Catwalk by Tigi Look Lock from root to tip and gather hair into a tight, smooth pony tail- securing with an elastic at the crown

Once secure, spray the hair on the head with Catwalk by Tigi Session Series Finishing Spray and use a fine tooth comb to smooth all fly-aways

Using a flat brush, back-brush the ponytail to create enough texture to gather in to a loose bun- secure with pins.

Place the first wig far back on the head, making sure not to fully flatten the bun (need the lift!). Once secured with pins, place the second wig on top of the first, positioning it a bit further towards the front of the head and pin in place

Next, position a pre-cut, clip-in fringe piece to the front of the head.

Clean up the bangs and back of hair with sharp shearing scissors to achieve the desired center point

Using a soft bristled brush, smooth all fly-aways and set with Catwalk by Tigi Session Series Finishing Spray

Makeup Artist for MAC, Kabuki applies paper eyebrows

Hand cut paper eyebrows gave the girls a vintage 50’s look that screamed sexy and evil. “The girls don’t have to do anything. The eyebrows do it for them,” explained lead makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics, Kabuki. Lips made a statement in an intense purple, using MAC Designer Purple Pearlglide Intense Pencil to cover the lip and Violet Pigment dusted in the center.

Machine guns, jewels, leather whips, spikes, and knitting needles. This amazing array of villainess inspired nail art was all hand crafted by CND.
