Naeem Kahn SS ‘15

Naeem Kahn Runway by Mary Ferrill

Naeem Kahn’s Spring 2015 collection was inspired by actress Lauren Bacall, focusing on the classic old Hollywood look with a modern twist.

Makeup artist James Boehmer went for an elegant natural look, still glamorous but a bit more undone. “Fresh skin, glossy eyes, and a stained lip is where we landed.”

Nars matte multiple stick was used on the eyes, with Zen blush on top of it.  Giving shape to eye, and then a little gloss right before the girls walk down the runway. Sometimes skin tone colors, or conceals work well for this because they have more of a skin tone feel than oftentimes eye shadows will.”

Brushing the eyebrows up with Oural Brow Gel, making it feel a little more sporty. Skin left really radiant and glowing with tinted moisturizer, a little powder in the t zone. The lips have a light finish, with Ingrid Audacious. Staining the lips, applying right in the center, and then moving it out with a brush. Done yet undone was the overall look, to complement the vibrant colorful collection.

Hair stylist Sally Hershberger went for a contemporary modern elegant look with natural loose curls. The hair is down this season, giving the look a lot more movement overall. Sally started by curling the hair in a downward direction give them a looser look. Then brushing the curls with a flat bristle brush, making the curls softer, and wavier. Setting the look with Volume Body 3-in-1 Hair Spray Dry Shampoo, and adding a glossy shine with Hyper Hydration Super Keratin Spray.

Julie Kadalec for Essie created a look to represent the ‘Naeem Khan’ girl; elegant and done up, but not over the top glamorous. She used Fiji, a creamy pale pink shade, on both the hands and feet to perfectly match the overall vibe of the collection.
