Erin Fetherston’s Fall 2015 runway show was inspired by the street that Fetherston grew up on in San Francisco: Wildwood Avenue. Fetherston’s collection was a mix of florals, lace and jacquard textures with a base of black and ivory and palettes of moss green, poinsettia red, blackberry and saffron. The hair and make-up provided a simple, yet elegant backdrop to the fairy tale fantasy collection.
The make-up by Le Metier de Beaute lead artist Dustin Lujan, focused on the eyes and lips. Lujan drew a smaller, more elongated cat eye on the models and gave them an ombre lip in a blend of nude, pinky peach and red. The final effect for the lips was designed to look as if the model bit into a poisoned apple. Eyelashes by Thrive Causemetics were applied to each model with Infinity Lash Adhesive. Thrive Causemetics donates money from its product sales to women going through cancer treatment. Their faux eyelashes are designed to be worn by women who have their own eyelashes as well as those going through cancer treatment who may have lost them.
To complement the make-up, lead stylist, Jeanie Syfu for TRESemmé designed a simple, but elegant look for the hair. Syfu parted the hair in the center and brought it into two side ponytails, and one in the middle. The two ponytails were then joined together in the back and threaded with sparkling ribbon, making one ponytail. Syfu used TRESemmé 24-Hour Body Foaming Mousse on damp hair and then applied Runway Get Sleek Blow Dry Balm. The hair was then bow dried and Runway Get Sleek Heat Protect Spray was applied. The hair should be blown dry straight and can be flat ironed as well.
During the show stylists were snapping pictures of select dresses, and one floral dress pictured above was quite popular. Wonder if we will see it on any celebrities this year?
