Stay Cool and Look Chic in the Heat

When the city heat starts, I tend to sacrifice the fits I want to wear, with something that won’t make me melt in the humid air. But this summer I found Djerf Avenue’s Breezy Set, the absolutely perfect button-down top and shorts duo to look good AND keep my body temperature down.

The Breezy Shirt is a staple piece, as I am planning to wear it year round. I love the oversized fit, because it means I can wear it in so many ways. My go-to is unbuttoned and paired with a tank top or a bikini top! But I can see myself layering with a turtleneck underneath once fall comes around. This top is so light and comfortable, but also has a really chic fit that looks like your girl bossing even when your shopping for groceries or running errands. One of my favorite features is the slit at the back of the piece, which makes it feel a little more feminine than the average button-down top.

The Breezy Shorts are a perfect match to the set, made from the same 100% organic cotton and with a similar oversized fit as the shirt. The shorts feature an elastic waist, side pockets, and small slits on sides. I usually refrain from wearing shorts to the office because I usually don’t feel like they make me look as put-together as I like, but I’ve worn these shorts to the office multiple times since getting them! These shorts really do look professional and sleek paired with any top. The baggy but constructed fit makes them great to wear with both tight and baggy tops- you can’t go wrong with them!

Djerf Avenue was created in 2019, and is a Swedish,  non-seasonal, ready-to-wear brand. The brand touts that it was made to embody the confident, chic, and laid-back person on the go. I’m quite a minimalist when it comes to my personal style, with a love for timeless pieces that I can wear for years. When I discovered Djerf Avenue, it really delivered all ends of what I look for when shopping and I know I will wear my pieces for many years to come.
