Designer for Houghton, Katharine Polk decided to bring a feminine take on military influences for her Fall 2015 collection. With deep greens, navy, and black, metal buttons, and shoulder pads, the collection serves as a kind of homage to the military. The designs are feminine and subtle, yet strong and confident.
The look was strong and elegant, with very minimal makeup, giving the skin that healthy, dewy feel. The focus on the mouth was for this look, combining two deep red tones, using Mac’s Liquid Lipstick Retro Matte.

The inspiration for the hair was bangs, as it represents a cool, sexy girl with little bit of edge. Giving the hair natural texture with the Redken Guts, and also using a flat iron to give a natural and loose look. Forceful 23 Hairspray, then using a hairdryer to activate the hairspray.
