Cologne is making a comeback. According to the buzz-and-sniff at major retailers, the scent of men is regaining in popularity after a hiatus from being in vogue and the olfactory lobe.
In 2020, it was an estimated $22 billion dollar industry. From now until 2026, cologne/scents are anticipating an uptick of 4%. Many of us look forward to this via our noses as we pass a gentleman stranger on the street, encounter him in an elevator, or greet him on the dance floor.
Here is our list of holiday scents to gift. Enjoy the allure, especially under the mistletoe:
Natura Brazil is an eco-conscious company which makes incredible products that help clean, recycle, and protect our planet. We recently tested the newest release Natura Kaiak Oceano. If your gent likes a splash of scent on certain occasions or every day, this will fit the bill. Top notes are Watery Notes, Seaweed and Pataqueira; middle notes are Sea Salt and Aromatic Notes; base notes are Ambergris, Cedar, Moss, Patchouli, Tonka Bean and Amyris. Santa follows the breeze all the way to Brazil.
For office, bedroom, or bath we recommend the Trudon Diffuser. Established in 1643 in France, this diffuser comes in various scents. We tried their Gabriel and the welcoming waft is as comforting as your favorite sweater and a warm cup of cocoa on an “chill” evening by the fire.
Head Notes: Birch Wood, Glace Chestnut
Heart Notes: Cashmere Wood, Moss
Base Notes: Cedarwood, Musk, Patchouli
We think it’s the perfect gift for the distinguished gentlemen who already has everything he could possibly need.
We have always been fans of MCM. This season we recommend the MCM Ultra EDP Gift Set. Your Santa will smell clean, fresh and dare we say golden sexy even when covered with soot from crawling down chimneys. This set includes a full-size bottle plus a travel-size vile for his nights on the road and in the air.
Notes of pink pepper, tuberose, cedarwood and warm golden amber. Fa, la, la, la, la!

Did you know that Santa surfs, too?
Bleu de Chanel. With a name like this, need we say more without a bow and a bow — both pronunciations of the word.
This is perhaps the pinnacle of all scents. A decision that is left up to both the wearer and those he encounters. The scent leaves a captivating trail with the warm fullness of cedar and New Caledonian sandalwood.
Santa and his helpers smell special this season.
