Bean & Bean Organic Coffee Roasters: Specialty Coffee, Ethically Sourced
NYC’s Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters feels a responsibility to be mindful of where they source their beans, which speaks to their brand’s integrity. They work with small coffee farms that work in sync with the environment rather than dominating it. They also partner with The Sloth Institute to save the sloths of Costa Rica, and donate 1% of their online sales to help care for orphaned and injured sloths, helping them rehabilitate and return to wildlife. Buying Bean & Bean coffee enables them give back to the environment where their coffee beans come from.
Based in NYC since its inception in 2008, Bean & Bean was founded by two women coffee sommeliers, a mother and daughter team — Rachel & Jiyoon — who have been working to bridge the gender gap in coffee throughout its value chain.
