You’ll have her at pom-pom. One look, one feel of this fluffy, furry adorable purple pom-pom and she’ll be gazing at you with her warmest smile. The newest fragrance from Annick Goutal Perfumes is Tenue de Soiree and is an ode to a beautiful woman sitting at her dressing table as she prepares to get ready for a romantic evening out. And romantic this fragrance is! It’s a sweet and modern chypre. Described as light, bubbly and frivolous, it’s not too sweet, nor too woody, just a warm blend that opens with notes of blueberry, nectarine and bergamot which will capture her attention as much as that pom-pom. The fruity opening quickly dissipates and makes way for heart notes bursting with osmanthus and iris. Later in the night, you’ll definitely be nuzzling her neck to enjoy those long lasting woody base notes of light patchouli, heliotrope, vanilla and benzoin. Goutal’s Tenue de Soiree sets the tone for an evening you’ll wish would never end.

From the man who creates the gorgeous red soled shoes, you can touch her soul with the beautiful Christian Louboutin Women’s Parfum Collection. This coffret of three mini sized fragrances means she’ll never have to decide which one she loves best. Tornade Blonde, created by perfumer Olivier Cresp, is a beautiful chypre floral that Louboutin describes as a scent of love and adventure. It opens with rhubarb, violet leaf, and cassis, and then a burst of gorgeous red Bulgarian rose hits you, along with jasmine sambac, orange blossom and gardenia. Base notes are ambergris, cedar, sandalwood and patchouli, but happily, the big floral heart notes last a long time, and will definitely tug at your heart strings. Bikini Questa Sera, created by perfumer Pierre Negrin, is a big, white floral fragrance that opens with very green notes and quickly gets a huge splash of jasmine and tuberose, though it’s more green than sweet. Base notes are sandalwood, vetiver and ambergris. Trouble in Heaven, admittedly my favorite, seems the most luxurious and sensuous, and most fitting with a pair of stiletto heeled Loubies. Created by perfumer Pierre Negrin, this one of the three is the fieriest. It opens with bergamot and cascalone – and if you’re not familiar with cascalone, you’re not alone, as it’s a fairly new fragrance ingredient and has an aquatic note, like sea spray, and not typically used in sexy, intoxicating perfumes like this one. Trouble in Heaven then moves into slightly powdery notes of rose and iris, and lingers on with long lasting base notes of amber, patchouli, tonka bean and labdanum.
The coffret is housed in a lovely white keepsake box with black & white drawings of imaginary “Loubiville” streetscapes, and closes with a Louboutin red seal. The bottles are miniature replicas of the full sized bottles.
Available: $95.for the trio at Nordstrom
Tory Burch’s father once posted this note in a newspaper to her mother, “If I told you that I loved you, would you hold it against me?” and signed it, “Love, Relentless”. Love Relentlessly is inspired by her parents ever romantic love story and Tory hopes it will inspire you. This latest Tory Burch fragrance opens with a juicy burst of fruit – pink grapefruit, lemon, lychee, raspberry and sparkling pear – and quickly moves to pink pepper which plays a major role. The lovely middle notes are iris and rose with a touch of cedar, which then meld into base notes of patchouli, amber, sandalwood and tonka bean. Your special lady will enjoy spraying it on herself as well as on her love notes to you.
