New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016: Inspired Hair

New York Fashion Week may be over, but there were plenty of looks that kept us buzzing. From romantic waves to androgynous style, here are some looks that turned heads.

Hair: Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris
Inspiration: This classic hair look, reminiscent of both Sharon Tate in the 60’s and Kate Moss in the 90’s, featured natural movement and clean imperfections. The hair embodied each model’s natural hair texture and style.

Zero+Maria Cornejo
Hair: James Pecis for Hot Tools and PHYTO
Inspiration: Pecis was inspired by the down-to- Earth, natural women and artistic clients that wear Zero+Maria Cornejo pieces. The look was all about nature and what it gives back to the world.

Zang Toi
Hair: Eiji Yamane for Macadamia Professional
Inspiration: Old Hollywood with a twist. Yamane created the “Courcheval Chignon” hairstyle that featured classic Hollywood glamour in the front with loose chignons in the back.

Hair: Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris
Inspiration: This look was all about creating a graphic, yet chic style. By crisscrossing the beautiful, velvet satin ribbon, it helped bring an element of texture to the ponytail.

Christian Siriano
Hair: Anthony Cole, Sebastian Professional International Artist
Inspiration: Cole mirrored Christian Siriano’s vision, creating an androgynous style with a hard part, but was able to keep the look soft with the braids.
