Gyms, studios, parks—there are endless ways to exercise in New York City. We really do have it all, but, with so many options available it can be hard to choose. ClassPass solves the problem by giving members access to a range of classes in every corner of the city. With this monthly pass you have the freedom to experience as many instructors, locations and types of classes as you wish. Here are three reasons why you should give ClassPass a GO.
1) CONVENIENCE. ClassPass boasts seemingly countless and diverse studios and classes. Initially, I thought I’d try classes all over the city and in multiple boroughs for the sake of adventure. When the time came however, I stayed close to home, selecting options that were on my commute, close to where I live or close to my destination. Luckily, this was not hard and by no means did it limit the variety of classes available to me. Yes, there really are that many choices!
2) COMMITMENT. With every reservation you book you are making a promise to yourself. On a Sunday morning, when I would have preferred to stay in bed, I went to Bare (not to be confused with Barre – another great workout I tried). On a Wednesday night after work when I wanted to be watching TV, I went to a CrossFlowX downtown. Is it hard to keep your commitments? Sometimes. Is it worth it? Yes.
3) CHOICES. During my first month using ClassPass I tried Hot Yoga, Hot Power Yoga, FlyWheel, Fly Barre, Barry’s Boot Camp (OMG), CrossFlowX, and Bare to name a few. One of the best features of ClassPass is that you have the freedom to try completely new types of classes if you want. Always wanted to take kickboxing, it’s there. Parkour sound like your thing? Ballet? Trampoline? If you can think of it, ClassPass offers it. You’ll have your favorites and the opportunity to repeat them (up to 3x per studio per month) but the chance to experiment with NEW fitness alternatives is invaluable. You might surprise yourself, you might learn new things about your body…I did.
