Petit Snack: French Deliciousness Delivered

French aficionados! If you love French cuisine and foreign food, then you must experience Petit Snack. With a monthly box sent straight to you from France, you will receive unique and fun snacks to try. The box is different each month so you will be able to try a variety of French treats you otherwise may not have thought to taste before. Typical snacks you will find inside are chips, cookies, candy, chocolate, and much more. You do not get to choose your snacks; however Petit Snack promises you will not be disappointed. And if you want to order your own snacks there is the online shop, too.

I can personally say I was very impressed with my snack box. Not only was the packaging elegant (its French, so of course), but I really liked the assortment of French goodies, which was varied, high-quality and tasty! I had to share my stash because it is quite easy to open any of these packages and not stop until its is finished.

The Co-gérant (Co-Mangers) and founders of Petit Snack are Sam and Moe, two gourmands who spent their time in French Middle School eating and swapping treats. Both graduated from university and worked corporate jobs until they decided they wanted to start a new adventure. They have an interesting story about how Petit Snack started: Whenever they would share French snacks with their friends and family from the US, Japan, China or Italy, they both noticed two things… everyone enjoyed them, and it was difficult for them to find those particular items in their own country. The founders said, “What?! They are missing the softness and buttery taste of Madeleine, the crispy biscuit and delicious chocolate taste of Petit Ecolier, and the unique flavor of an Arlequin candy.” Astonished, this went right into their heart, and after a long reflection of “1.5 seconds” they decided to show the world “the French know-how.” From that moment Petit Snack was born. The company emphasizes how, with a different selection every month, you can discover France through taste.

With a Petit Plaisir Box, you will receive 5+ different treats, and in a La Gourmande Box 11+ different ones. Each month there is a new box with the most popular snacks in France. The products (all made in France) vary, so each box is balanced to please everyone. At the moment there is no subscription plan, but the company is working on it. Petit Snack is a great and original gift for anyone who would like to discover French delicacies. With so many delectable snacks to choose from, I asked Sam and Moe if they had a preference. “Our favorite French snack is Crêpe Dentelle, the result of a small cooking error made by Marie-Catherine Cornic in 1886 as she left one of her crêpes cooking for too long. She decided to fold it and roll it up. As a result, she got a delicate biscuit that is both buttery and crispy.”
