Relatively underacknowledged is the importance of hormone balancing for women of all ages. It’s advertised more for women around the age of menopause and that’s really when the discussion usually starts with a medical provider but in my opinion, that’s already too late.
Hormonal imbalances can contribute to weight fluctuations, fatigue, mood swings and low energy levels. It basically impacts nearly every aspect of your mental, emotional and physical well-being. I recently embarked on my own hormone balancing journey after my mom completely changed her life with it, not to be dramatic, but it’s little, conscious tweaks to your day-to-day that make the world of difference – and awareness.
So, I’m pretty much open to any natural products that are willing to help with these imbalances.

I’ve been wanting to try My Girl Wellness products for a while now and I was so excited when the opportunity finally arrived. I’m a little over two weeks into my In Sync hormone balancing elixir journey and I’m ready to share my findings.
I didn’t really know how to measure its effectiveness until I got my period. In the week leading up to my cycle I had relatively no symptoms. No new breakouts, no cramps, and my boyfriend can attest to the fact that I was fairly friendly. Now, the breakout phenomenon could also be because I have about 8 serums to combat this very situation. But no cramps are extremely rare and let’s say the mood swings are pretty much guaranteed during PMS week. So, I’ll give credit where credit is due.
Usually powder supplements are not my cup of tea. I prefer them in pill form with no taste. I just find that they’re never quite right, there’s always an odd aftertaste and they’re definitely never as “delicious” as advertised. This is also true of protein powders. I will admit, I was skeptical of In Sync’s snickerdoodle flavor profile. Wrongfully so – it’s so good! I mixed mine with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and it tastes like a milkshake. Thinner in consistency, but you get the point. My boyfriend, the world’s pickiest eater, even gave it his stamp of approval.
What I do like about this powder form, aside from taste, is it’s really easy to mix into other recipes. Add it to overnight oats (did it, so yum), yogurt, a smoothie, or you can keep it simple and just add water.
The “latte” method is my absolute favorite though and I drink it cold.
This My Girl Wellness blend features MCT powder, ashwagandha, dandelion root and l-theanine. These ingredients serve to boost energy, lower cortisol levels, get rid of excess estrogen and a number of other benefits.
Insulin resistance and cortisol dysregulation can make weight management so challenging for women. Plus, estrogen and progesterone levels play a vital role in mood swings, irritability and anxiety. Number one culprits in PMS symptoms. Regulating these levels is crucial to feeling more balanced emotionally and physically.
Just to prove I’m no BS here with my thoughts, I took the balancing elixir with me on my European vacation. And trust me when I say I could not afford to waste any luggage real estate. I’m not going to say it’s travel friendly because it’s meant to remain on your kitchen counter, but I thought it was worth bringing along and I’m so happy I did.
I’ve almost finished it, and my only complaint is why isn’t it bigger. It’s such an easy way to add a hormone balance supporting supplement to your morning routine and big bonus points for it actually being enjoyable.
