The new La Prairie Beauty Treatment Center in the Air France Lounge at JFK Airport recently opened and it certainly adds elegance and wellness to the travel experience. Imagine having a relaxing facial or other beauty treatment before boarding your flight. Now that’s luxury.
The chic and modern spa, newly renovated by La Prairie, is a sleek little 325 sq ft jewel box in tones of silver, white, and platinum and echoes the colors of La Prairie’s Platinum Skin Care Collection. It’s tucked away in a corner of the lovely Air France Lounge in Terminal 1 of Kennedy Airport. There are two cabins for treatment, and a small waiting room with comfortable chairs. The facials, performed by La Prairie trained beauty specialists, are complimentary and you can choose from one of three treatments – rejuvenation, illumination, or indulgence. Each is 20 to 30 minutes and all use the coveted La Prairie skin care products. The company’s beautiful makeup is also available should you not want to exit bare faced.
The treatments are available for those flying on Air France in La Premiere and Business Class and can be pre-booked. For Flying Blue Platinum or Gold members, the services are also available even if flying in coach, and can be reserved with the Air France agents at the lounge check in.
