Adler Spa Resort Thermae: A Healing Paradise in the Tuscany Mountains

There is a place that feels like paradise on earth with everything you need in one place. No need to ever leave once you come through the rustic gates of the Adler Spa Resort Thermae. It may be a journey to reach this mountain paradise, but it is well worth the trip. I recently spent several days at Adler Thermae where the waters are healing, the food is healthy, and the spa is relaxing. I can truly say it was a wellness experience that was thoroughly enjoyable.

Adler Thermae Spa Resort is in the Tuscany mountain town of San Quirico d’Orcia, in a picturesque and magical, slice of heaven. Just being there is a vacation, but the resort offers so many opportunities to relax and decompress from your journey there and from life in general.

Once you enter the gates of Adler Thermae you can choose to remain for your entire stay. Dining and most saunas and thermal water experiences are included in your stay. Prepare to spend most of your time wearing the fluffy white robes and slippers that await you in your room. There are several healing water pools where, despite the outside temperature you will always be warm. There is also an indoor pool with the same water, but it is divine to be outside and enjoy the scenery while you soak in the healing thermal water.

Another unique aspect of Adler Thermae is the variety of saunas offered throughout the grounds. There is a dry sauna with aromatherapeutic essential oils waved around by an attendant during appointed times of the day. In addition, there is an underground grotto filled with saltwater where you can make an appointment for two and enjoy the relaxation in private. If you wish to just relax indoors there is a relaxation room that is quiet, with lounge chairs and outdoor views of the grounds.

The spa treatments are excellent and simply top off the already relaxing vibe of Adler Thermae. I had a facial and a massage during my visit, and both were amazing. The facial incorporated massage techniques to rejuvenate and enhance circulation. The products used were exclusive to Adler and really hydrated my skin for days afterwards.

The Adler Thermae cuisine is also superb and varied each night for dinner, and during the day, a breakfast and lunch buffet is available. Of course, if you decide to venture into the tiny town of Bagno Vignoni, a short walk down the hill, then you must visit the restaurant Bistrot Languorino. I recommend going for lunch to get a nice afternoon walk and enjoy the intimate hospitality of the restaurant. It only has a few tables, but we never had a problem being seated. In warmer weather there is also seating outdoors. The pasta is amazing, and service is fast.

Except for the short walk to Bagno Vignoni, there is no need to venture outside the grounds of Adler Thermae. A fitness center and classes are conveniently available on site, and it was great to exercise while enjoying the scenery through the large windows. If you are inclined to explore, there are excursions that you can arrange to go hiking or visit wineries. There is also free rental of mountain bikes or you can try horseback riding. We were content to remain on the property, which is an incomparable oasis of calm that literally washes away your stress. I felt so relaxed during my visit and long to return to the healing waters and picturesque views in the hills of Tuscany. For more information visit, www.adler-resorts.com..
