With the holidays upon us, guys need to chill out, kick back and lounge around after all the stress from juggling work, honey-do chores and tension brought on from decking the halls and encroaching fa-la-la-la-la. This month we head off the holidays with a list of picks for the top loungewear to make every guy settle down, let loose and be merry.
#5: Zooop it UP! make onesie jumpsuits for adults with a sense of wit and whimsy. The style has grown in popularity with celebrities and sports figures like Beau Allen, Will Smith, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Beech, Fergie, Kendra Wilkinson, Chris Distefano and Seth Rogan (above). From sports and animal prints to camouflage and Americana themes, the fleece jumpers are like giving and receiving a big hug. Some people use them for travel from plane or train to destination but that is completely the man’s call. This style began in California and is quickly moving east.

#4: Home-pride T-shirts
Every guy needs the perfect t-shirt to sit back and chill. Entrepreneur and founder of The Home T, Ryan Shell, offers some of the coolest loungewear with a purpose. The wearer can don a little home-state pride while helping to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis — all shirts are made in the U.S.A with a portion of sales going to medical research. The brand was a recent hit at the Country Music Awards with recording artists Tyler Hubbard and Dirks Bentley.

This family-owned company is based out of Laguna, California. FreeBeneath Bathrobes are perfect for the pool, beach, holiday travel or just goofing off around the house. They come in several colors and styles but my favorite is the Classic Relaxed Cotton Spa. The brand is growing in popularity with A-listers like Snoop Dogg and sports stars DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia Eagles) and Matt Barnes (LA Lakers), LL Cool J as well as Ed O’Neill and Ty Burrell from Modern Family have been sporting them.

#2: YOC stands for Yes Oui Care. This altruistic company has taken loungewear and other garments to a new level via Trovea — the online shopping bazaar.
I chose the “Bus” style because I love the long sleeves, rough-edge button collar and elbow patches. It’s the pinnacle of loungewear for slim guys and men with an athletic build. The coolest thing about this garment is that it gives back. By wearing the BUS top you are supporting NGOs (non-government organizations) and the creativity and art of underprivileged children.
For this project, Yes Oui Care, a TROVEA.com designer, organized drawing sessions with kids from an orphanage boarding school near New Delhi in India. The theme of the workshop was nature, environment, family, peace, happiness, etc. Out of 500 submissions, YOC selected the most creative ones. “Bus ” is one of them and was drawn by 10-year old, Alex (above). His idea was to create a pollution free bus flying in the air.
TROVEA.com is where you can discover and shop great emerging designers from all around the world.

#1: Tommy Bahama always shines thru in creative ways to make men feel cool, comfortable and relaxed. While they sell an assortment of shirts, shorts, jerseys and pajama bottoms, my pick for the best luxury loungewear is their Paradise Bound Robe. This extra-plush robe comes in royal blue with their “Paradise Bound” sailing ship on the back is perfect for a weekend getaway, holiday voyage or just hanging out on the sofa to watch movies or the game.
It’s also noteworthy that Tommy Bahama has a large and tall selection for everything from shirts, pants and jackets to sweaters as well as loungewear. I’m a fan of the Marlin Madness Lounge Pants. After hauling out the ivy and a mad dash to the mall, every guy deserves some down time and this loungewear always brings a ray of sunshine.
