March Picks: Martial Vivot, Menaji and Mukti for Men

Will your man wax, wear makeup (bronzer) and spend time and money on his appearance? Statistics in luxury brands are banking on it. Here is the latest news and bon vivant trends: It just so happens that the Metro Man March Picks all begin with the letter M.

#3: Uni K Wax just released their new SENSE Body Collection called MUKTI for Men — Exfo Cream Sense and Aloe Fresh Sense made my list this month. This duo exfoliates and moisturizes men’s skin for a healthy and natural glow. Apricot seed extract buffs the epidermis’ outer layer to reveal younger, fresher looking skin, while the ginger and a hint of primula work to smooth and hydrate skin. The aloe vera extracts normalizes skin’s moisture levels. The scent is clean and masculine and the name Mukti in Hindu means liberation. It’s all good and time to liberate your natural good looks.

#2: Menaji is the brainchild of Michele Probst, a pioneer in men’s skincare. The company’s slogan is skincare for the confident man and their latest product launch is just in time for spring — The Gregory Beauty Travel Kit for Men. This daring compact kit holds a bronzer and a concealer. It comes with HDPV Anti-shine Sunless Tan, a Kabuki brush to apply, and a product called Urban Camo, the original undetectable concealer for men. There are various tones to choose from to hide imperfections and create camera-ready and flawless skin for guys who thrive on selfies and fuss over flaws. I was “on the fence” about this product but I’m sure enough to know there is a market out there considering all of the Photoshop and flawless photos that males post on social media. It’s your call.

Change in men’s skincare and grooming takes just a small step, this product does it in leaps and bounds.

#1: Guess who is back? Martial Vivot at Barney’s Downtown. This hair guru just released a new line of products in tribute to the store. The box set is exclusively available at Barneys downtown and includes Martial’s shampoo, conditioner, paste, crème, gel and more. The products are formulated with all natural, organic plant-derived ingredients to nourish, replenish and hydrate the hair along with vitamins and minerals to energize the scalp, promote healthy hair growth, improve follicle density and strengthen the hair. The scent has a distinct masculine herbal musk if that is to your liking. “Ooh la la,” as we Americans say to respectfully imitate the French form of design and aesthetics.
