Sommelier AJ Ojeda-Pons was voted #1 in the best-dressed contest conducted by Penfolds and GQ Magazine.
“It’s an honor to win and do my job; I’m inspired every day by fashion and appreciate the process of winemaking from vineyard to table,” said Ojeda-Pons who works at The Lions Club in mid-town Manhattan. His winnings include a cash prize, shopping spree/consultation and a promotional listing in a future print edition of GQ magazine.
The contest culminated at the Penfolds House inside NYC’s Villard Mansion with a panel of judges including: ABC’s “The Taste” mentor, Marcus Samuelsson, GQ Executive Stylist, Brett Fahlgren (pictured above), and Penfolds Chief Winemaker, Peter Gago.
“This was very successful and we expect this contest to be a yearly tradition,” said Mr. Gago. The ceremony also included a tasting of the Australian Winery’s Grange — available this month.
