Shoes for Your Santa by Paul Drish and The Left Shoe Company

After loading his sleigh, feeding all the reindeer and climbing down chimneys, Santa needs a new pair of boots (and shoes) this year. He’ll be the luckiest guy standing under the mistletoe with luxury men’s footwear brands The Left Shoe Company and Paul Drish. Both companies have set up shop in NYC — just in time to boot the bearded one.

All of the men on your list will be merry with the gift of quality, style and state-of-the-art shoes from two of the hottest, burgeoning footwear manufacturers in town. Both brands are steppin’ out into new territory regarding comfort, style and technology. Here’s what you need to know.

Paul Drish just launched in the United States last month. Their Tribeca loft is as sleek and swank as a gentlemen’s club. This collection offers 26 shoe styles including boots, wing tips, brogues, loafers, and oxfords.

Most Paul Drish shoes feature the brand’s signature purple lining, are delivered in a durable drawer-style jute box made from natural materials and a cotton dust bag. Each shoe order also comes with a leather covered shoehorn and an extra padded leather insole for additional comfort. They are known for pampering customers with a shoe shopping experience from start to finish.

I am a fan of their Sebastien Boot (above) but equally enamored with their bags. Come for the shoes but don’t leave without a Baron Duffle, Ben Briefcase or Ralph Weekender.

The Left Shoe Company recently opened their pop-up shop on 42nd Street at the Grace Building between 5th and 6th Avenues. From oxfords to loafers, the selection of styles is impressive. I tip my Santa hat to their Brandon, Spectator and Spencer styles. The men on your list will appreciate the comfort and classic looks — they also make golf shoes.

Here’s the difference. They utilize 3D scanning technology for a perfect 360-degree picture of each foot — the result is the most accurate and detailed measurement for every man. This enables their master craftsmen to create and size a shoe with optimal fit and comfort. All their shoes are handmade in Portugal by skilled artisans.

To say they fit like a glove is trite but also true. Fashion photographer and English TV celebrity, Nigel Barker (above) steps up for his 3D imaging. The process takes just a minute or two and the shoes or boots are shipped within weeks.

Santa and his helpers will get a kick out of their new footwear.

Happy holidays and happy shopping.
