It’s October and we are still waiting for colder temps in New York City and the tri-state region. We “barely” need to wear a sweater let alone a coat with these unseasonal degrees or celsius, whatever, it’s warm out there!

However, we all know what’s coming soon and need to get new threads.

I recently ventured out to the department stores and online shopping for new clothing and outerwear. After sorting through ill-fitting jackets, uncomfortable pants and overly designed sweaters, I decided that the men’s line by Vince Camuto is my pick for this season.

Following are my top three must-have items:

For sweater weather during the anticipated days of frost and dew, I chose this olive green crewneck with a grid design and subtle white trim on the sleeves and hem.

There was a time when I decided to rid my wardrobe of the color green but I am fan of this olive shade and was sold on the sport-fit. It’s the perfect garment for Metro Men to pack for a weekend trip during the changing of the seasons or perhaps a day in Central Park or walking the Highline. You know…

The Hooded Quilted Jacket is masculine, comfortable and stylishly edgy — the perfect coat for chilly nights going to a concert, club or your favorite pub. It is physique fitting and looks best on slender and muscular guys who wear fitted-shirts. My guess is that you will probably see a lot of NYC men in hipster hoods sporting this look in the next couple of months.

I’ve found the perfect coat that every man needs.

The Car Coat with Removable Collar is exactly what every guy needs for the office, date night or carousing on the town. I love this coat. It’s versatility helps you adjust to the cool or cold temperatures. It’s made with wool and nylon offering multiple pockets, elbow patches and a collar that you can take off when needed.

It’s still mild out there now but we all know that we’ll have to put on the layers very soon.
