Go Orange!

What better way to celebrate Spring than by donning something bright and cheery? Especially on Tuesday, April 10th! The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals™ (ASPCA™) www.aspca.org will be celebrating ASPCA Day and encouraging animal lovers nationwide to GO ORANGE FOR ANIMALS!

You won’t be alone by going orange. Buildings and landmarks in New York City will be bathed in a warm glow of orange — the ASPCA’s signature color — to commemorate ASPCA Day and celebrate our four-legged companions. On April 10, dress yourself and your pet in this bright hue to let everyone know that you’ll be a voice for animals. Need a tangerine T-shirt? Click onto the ASPCA Online Store at www.aspca.org and get yourself a fun pawprint bandana for your pooch and a cute camisole for yourself.

Celebrate the ASPCA Day Festival in Union Square on April 10 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M for an evening of music, pet tips, adoptions, and a chance to meet the stars of Animal Planet’s award-winning Animal Precinct. The ASPCA will kick off the event with special guests Joe Bouchard and his band, The X Brothers. Joe was a founding member of the legendary Blue Oyster Cult.

Adoption facilities are located at 424 East 92nd Street (between 1st and York Avenues). Adoption hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., and Sundays from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
