Holiday Stockings Available Neiman Marcus
I must have been super-duper good this year because my natural skincare stocking is bursting with goodies to get me through a long, cold winter with silky, soft skin.
First: the most over-the-top and somehow just right Cleopatra’s Milk Bath from The Organic Pharmacy. It contains actual dried rose buds that fill your bathroom with the scent of summer. It’s free of all things toxic and leaves you feeling relaxed and regal. Ingredients are just thus: milk, rose petals, essential oils of ylang ylang and rose geranium. Tip: Save the rose buds; when dry they retain their scent, a nice lingering extra.
Next: Detoxify with Detoxifying Body Polish from Amala. The gentlest scrub I’ve ever used for the soft places that need to be restored to what they once were. It removes dead skin cells and the accretion of yuck you discover on elbows and elsewhere after a month or two of dwelling in an overheated NYC nest. It contains organic myrtle, crushed olive stone and sea salt, and leaves you completely super-soft.
Then: Embalm your fine self with Candlenut Hand & Body Balm from Juara. Candlenut comes from Indonesia and is treasured as a moisturizer that is characterized by its velvety feel. It is rapidly absorbed, leaves no greasy residue and contains no parabens. I enjoy the light scent and luxurious feel and plan to wash my hands more frequently this winter just so I can keep my paws pampered.
Not lastly: Two elegant gift sets from L’Occitane each packed with fabulosity.
Divine is aptly named. It’s a complete anti-aging collection— and yes, it completely works. My skin looks and feels great, if I do say so. The products are infused with Corsican immortelle, the flower that never fades. All are indulgent in feel and efficacious in effect. The Precious Cleansing Foam is fun, fast and gentle to use. The trio of Regard Divine for eyes, Lotion Divine and Creme Divine for the face work in symphony to hydrate, restore and smooth. I have been told that I am wrinkle-free and I’ve only been using these products for a week. Seriously, either gift yourself or get someone to give these products to you. They not only work but they are delightful to look at and live with.
But there’s more. Shea Embrace is a box full of products powered by shea butter from Burkina Faso. Each one is lovely, luscious and luxurious to use; together they turn your entire bod into a pampered and protected pod. I am completely head over heels about the Foot Cream. In my yoga class I often find myself looking at my feet and those of my classmates and it is not always a pretty sight. This cream contains 15% shea butter and returns your downtrodden peds to softness overnight. Tip: before bed massage in and then slip on some socks.
Together these two gift sets will pamper and protect you from head to toe and keep you covered until spring.
