Jaimie Hilfiger, Tommy Hilfiger’s niece, may have a famous last name, but when I interviewed her I realized she’s also quite down to earth and sweet. Jaimie, who models, is also making a name for herself in the skincare business with the Jaimie Hilfiger Collection, a capsule skincare line with La Curcio. The collection was born of Jaimie’s own struggles with her extremely sensitive skin.
“When you arrive to a photo shoot, and don’t look like your picture, it’s bad,” said Jaimie. She was desperate to find something that would help clear up her skin that was itchy, with red spots. Jaimie’s skin woes became chronic after she moved from New York to Miami Beach, where she told me that her skin “went insane.” She visited several dermatologists, and was eventually diagnosed with type 2 rosacea. There are four types of rosacea. Type 2, or inflammatory rosacea, is characterized by facial redness, red bumps and pimples. Jaimie’s dermatologist told her that she had the most sensitive skin he had ever seen.
Jaimie tried a number of prescription creams to treat her skin, but none of them relieved her symptoms. She was then introduced to the Jacki Curcio, founder and CEO of La Curcio, who gave her products from La Curcio and she was amazed at how well they worked at relieving her rosacea symptoms.
Jaimie developed a friendship with Jacki Curcio, and they launched a capsule skincare collection. The collection was recently expanded, and now includes, the Ultra Calming & Hydrating Masque With Ultra Calming Serum, Ultra Detox Masque With Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Seaweed, Zinc Oxide & Hydrating Boost, Luxury Hydrating & Makeup Mist, Luxury Ultra Face & Eye Makeup Remover, Luxury Hand Cream and Luxury Ultra Moist Lip Balm.
