The Restore Hyper Wellness and Cryotherapy Spa specializes in enhancing immunity, healthfulness, and extending youthful vitality through a variety of services. Restore’s four pillars of Hyper Wellness are: customers should feel better right away, services are supported by science and medicine, services are available to everyone, and scalable, repeatable processes drive affordability. And these days, the staff and visitors are masked, and all robes, etc. are immediately tossed in the wash bin after use. Hand sanitizer and masks are readily available throughout the spa, too.

We tried Restore’s cryotherapy chamber with a friend, and found the experience to be exhilarating, rejuvenating, safe, and quick. Cryotherapy sessions only last two or three minutes, so if you want to pop in daily or weekly to maintain your optimal immunity, you can enjoy this health-bolstering experience in less than fifteen minutes on your way to the grocery store or home from work. If you take a friend, you can both chat in the roomy chambers, with the music of your choice playing. There are two NYC locations now in Chelsea and on the Upper East Side, eight more slated to open soon throughout the city, and many more across the country. It’s likely that wherever you roam in America, a Restore Spa can be en route.

HOW IT WORKS
You’ll check in (with your mask in) and discuss any health issues or goals with the ultra-friendly and down-to-earth front desk staff; then, you’ll don a robe, ear covering, mask, socks, and slippers. If you’ve never tried cryotherapy before, you may feel overdressed and too warm before you enter the cryotherapy chambers. Your temperature will be taken before and after (I was at 92-degrees going in, as was my friend, and then we plummeted down to 52 and 43 degrees respectively after two minutes). You’ll spend 15 seconds in a pre-chamber, which is so cold that you’ll wonder how it could possibly get much colder, and then you’ll move into the cooler chamber for 2 or 3 minutes, and then back into the pre-chamber for another 15 seconds.

WHY IT’S GOOD FOR YOU
Anyone can benefit from whole body cryotherapy, as it reduces inflammation and releases endorphins that help alleviate pain, boost energy and metabolism, and increase the body’s natural healing abilities. However, there are some groups that particularly benefit, encompassing athletes, post-op patients who want to supplement physical therapy, those experiencing chronic pain, and anyone who wishes to enhance immunity achieve refreshing restoration. Other specific benefits of cryotherapy are a release of endorphins, an increase in metabolism, and a decrease in joint and muscle pain.

Pricing is HERE. You can also pay for a one-off visit to experience cryotherapy, or call to see if you can tour the spa.
