So you’ve finally booked that flight (or drove down) to New Orleans and are looking for a place to stay? A place where you’re only three blocks away from the French Quarter, look no further than The Troubadour Hotel New Orleans. Upon arrival I was greeted by valet attendants, who directed me to parking and took my bags as I checked in at the front desk. After I received my key and made my way up the elevator to my room, I headed in, greeted by a cool blast of AC (which is so needed in the humid heat of Louisiana).
Switching on the TV to have some background noise, I had to enjoy a shower; after driving five hours, a hot steamy shower was definitely in order. Afterwards, feeling clean and relaxed, I prepared to head out to Bourbon Street. Leaving the hotel and walking over was a breeze. When I arrived there, I noshed on seafood and beignets well into the night.
Once I had my fill and strolled around the French Quarter, it was time to head back for some much-needed sleep. After a short 10-minute walk back to The Troubadour Hotel New Orleans, I went to my room and fell into its luxurious queen sized bed, and drifted to sleep.
In the morning, I checked out with ease and went to grab some breakfast on the street – it was an authentic New Orleans experience.
