Pullman Brussels Centre Midi – A Hotel with a View Both Inside and Out
From the first page of Pullman Hotels and Resorts own magazine, “The Pullman Magazine,” I understand why this chain of modern, stylish hotels is not just another hotel chain. Showcasing the value in art itself, whether that is in architecture, design or decor, Pullman Hotels and Resorts utilizes these elements to create a unique environment that stands out among others. I was able to experience this firsthand at Pullman Brussels Centre Midi, located in the heart of Brussels, Belgium at Place Victor Horta 1.
One of the two entrances to Pullman Brussels Centre Midi
Designed by architect Jean-Philippe Nuel, Pullman Brussels Centre Midi is a 4-star hotel housing 237 upscale rooms, from Deluxe Suites to Deluxe, Superior, and Classic Rooms. Boasting the convenience of having the international Midi Train Station just steps outside the door, one can easily and quickly travel to international destinations such as Amsterdam and Paris, or other Belgium cities such as Bruges and Ghent. The city center and main sights of Brussels are a short distance away — about five minutes via metro or fifteen minutes by foot. Ideal for a city break or a stopover between cities for business or tourism, the location couldn’t be more convenient.
Unique décor welcomes you into the lobby
Upon entering the hotel, the sleek lobby with its modern decor welcomes you inside, guiding you to the accommodating receptionists. The stylish decor and innovative design viewed in the lobby sets the mood for the rest of the hotel, from the appearance of the quiet hallways to the ambiance of the spacious rooms. The hotel has a variety of useful amenities offered throughout. The ground floor has a lounge area, convenient for working or simply to relax outside of your hotel room. On the first floor of the hotel, you’ll find the Victor Restaurant and Bar, which offers delicious fresh meals during a two course special for lunch and dinner, as well as other meals and snacks during the evening. On the same floor, find the breakfast area for guests to indulge. The breakfast area is stocked with delectable delights that range from hot and cold foods, to fruits, breads, and pastries. The hotel also offers a fitness room and sauna, allowing guests to exercise and rejuvenate during their stay, as well as 11 high-tech seminar rooms, ideal for meetings and banquets.

Dine in style for breakfast or dinner
The Deluxe Room flaunts a city view, and each view is unique to the location of your room. Our room was located on a corner of the hotel with a great view looking towards the city center, and to one side, the Atomium in the distance. The room overlooks the train station as well. To my satisfaction, I couldn’t hear any trains or outside noise. Our Deluxe Room was furnished with a king sized bed, a sitting area and table, television, and spacious bathroom. The hotel is conscious of their effect on the environment, changing linens only upon request in an effort to be as eco-friendly as possible. The sitting area provided an extra place to relax while watching programs and movies on television, which offers a selection of complimentary movies in a variety of languages. Start your day off right with coffee and tea fresh from the kettle inside the room, while listening to music through the BOSE docking station on the bedside table. The bathroom is complete with a rainfall shower and a bathtub, and is stocked with toiletries from C.O. Bigelow in Manhattan. Tired after a day of sightseeing, a long train ride, or a day of business meetings? Pullman Brussels Centre Midi also offers room service to those who would prefer in dine in the comfort of their room. With all these convenient amenities, you can truly relax and simply enjoy your stay.
